Get better sleep with Sleep Theory:
Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on the historical biographies continues with a video on life and adventures of the British captain and admiral Thomas Cochrane. He took part in the Napoleonic Wars, famously winning the battle of Basque Roads, and then participated in the liberation of Chile and Peru from the Spanish rule, Brazil from the Portuguese and Greece from the Ottoman empire, which made him one of the most interesting people of the XIX century and one of the craziest captains in history.

Cochrane was an English freemason trying to expand the British empire but nowhere you heard the word 'freemasonry' that's how England snatched big portions of land and subdue entire populations on behalf of her majesty, the queen, which was in reality a puppet with the freemasonic parliament behind!!!crown

I like your videos, they are told in an engaging and interesting way. But you should do more fact checks, or a more careful research. Most of what you said about San Martín was wrong. For starters, he was argentinian, not chilean, and neither was most of the army following, which crossed Los Andes to liberate Chile. Same with the Perú campaign, and his appointment as Protector of Perú. I dont think you need to muddle one man's acomplishments to tell compelingly about another's.

Great video, a few corrections though. San Martin was an argentine general, not chilean. He crossed the Andes to fight for South American independence, and offered many times become both Peru and Chile de facto leader, wich he rejected, stating that they should be led by a felllow countrymen. After the war, he became Governor, and lived his last days on poverty in France.

Watching all of Cochrane’s videos I must say that, though undoubtedly highly skilled ship commander and very smart man, I doubt very much that he was of immaculate character as portrayed in this series. People like San Martin and Pedro I of Brazil were popular and driven statesman that sought justice. It totally surprises me that he had been having the EXACT same kind of problems with his overlords at home and same shit on the former colonies. I looks to me more like he demanded a payment, delivered service and than simply raised the amount owed him or he just couldn’t wait for the amount to be payed wanting it immediately. Also he was probably a insubordinate dude, which made him more like a solo privateer kind of guy then an actual asset of the British empire army.
