There was a black duke in the 1800’s now? Why not just have a show about a clan in the Scottish highlands with an Asian leader, that would just as historically ridiculous. I don’t understand the need to insert blacks into periods of history where they were not allowed to have power and influence, a black man couldn’t even date a white woman during this time period without being strung up from Big Ben. This show is complete historical fiction, and an unnecessary fiction that has no point at that, just another attempt by Hollywood to insert whatever race doesn’t fit historically into whatever novel or story they can make a mockery of, this show would be fine as fantasy but it’s unwatchable because it’s absolutely ridiculous and without any deeper reason for the absolute perversion of cultural truth, in one word this show is awful.

The cast is made up of very good actors.
